Bria Young is a professional basketball player and an official USA basketball youth development licensed coach. She is also the founder of Bria Young Basketball Inc., educational-athletic non-profit club focused on encouraging young athletes to develop positive character and values that will help them become successful on and off the court, and the organization has announced that it will be organizing two basketball camps in the summer, which will be hosted by Bria Young herself.
Basketball is one of the most popular sports not only in the United States but across the globe. The sport has also been identified as one of the channels of engaging youths and taking them away from crime and other such evil acts. However, young athletes require the right mentorship and support to become successful in their chosen career. Unfortunately, this guidance is not readily available to young and aspiring athletes. This is where the likes of Bria Young and the BYB are particularly helpful.
The primary aim of the club is to foster amateur national or international basketball competition with the purpose of developing successful basketball players. Bria Young will consequently be hosting two basketball camps in the summer, both of which will be taking place in Philadelphia.
The first of the camps will be a free summer camp, focused on improving the skills of participants and helping them make new friends. The camp will be held in South Philadelphia from June 18to July 27, Monday through Friday from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. While the camp will be open to both boys and girls, the available space is limited. Consequently, interested athletes are urged to register as soon as possible.
The second camp is a 3-day girls only basketball clinic for 3rd to 8th graders. The camp will be held at the Philadelphia University (Jefferson University) in east falls. The camp will hold between the 13th and 15th of June from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm daily. The clinic will include lots of fun, a basketball contest, special guest appearances, and 5 on 5 scrimmages. The cost for each attendee is $30, with each participant getting a free camp T-shirt, a photo with the legendary Bria Young, and a camp certificate.
