Young Living Essential Oil Prepares High-Profile UK Launch

The Utah-based essential oil company, Young Living, is preparing to launch a UK-arm of their company following enormous success throughout the rest of Europe.

The GO UK launch will be taking place at Young Living’s 2014 European Conference held in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre over the weekend of September 20th to 21st.

Young Living established itself as a world leader in the production and supply of essential oils after Gary Young founded the company over twenty years ago. Since then the company has acquired farms throughout the world where they grow organic plants that are then distilled into essential oils.

“Expansion into the UK is the natural next step following the company’s success worldwide” commented Robin Phillips, a former UK-resident who has spent the last three years educating Americans about the benefits of essential oils and aromatherapy.

Phillips, whose education campaign has involved the launch of the Phillips Essentials website earlier this year, added: “more people throughout the UK are finding that essential oils are a way to take control of their own health instead of relying on the system to do it for them.”

In preparing for Young Living’s launch next month, UK representatives of Phillips Essentials are giving away free Young Living essential oil kits throughout the remainder of August to those who join Young Living’s wholesale buying club and make a qualifying purchase.

James and Shael Haram, the husband and wife team, have been introducing Young Living essential oils into the UK.  Additionally, they have organized the valuable give-aways, commented on the Phillips Essentials Facebook page, saying “Expansion into the UK represents an important next step in Young Living’s drive to educate the entire world about ways essential oils can increase health and wellness.”

When asked about the benefit of essential oils, Haram added: “Essential oils are naturally occurring compounds produced by plants to feed, nurture, and repair the plant’s living cells and fight off toxins. Essential oils are often referred to as the ‘blood’ of the plant, since the oil in the plant contains all the properties needed to sustain the life and unique character of that particular plant. When extracted, these compounds can be used to help human beings in an almost endless variety of ways because of their anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-microbiological properties.”

Healing plant compounds have an ancient history for the people of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The ancient Celts were renowned for their knowledge of the healing properties of plants, as Angela Paine showed in her book The Healing Power of Celtic Plants. When the Romans began conquering Britain in the first century, they passed on more knowledge of healing plants to the native population, including essential oils. The Romans harnessed the power of plant oil by placing plant materials into a fatty oil until it soaked up all the desired compounds. Today essential oils are produced using a sophisticated process of steam distillation.

Some of the most popular oils in the UK are Lavender, Tea Tree Oil, and Frankincense, although Young Living has been introducing dozens of other oils previously not available in the UK.
