March 26, 2015 - Norwalk, Conn. – What does a notary do when she can’t find a notary on the three most popular notary search websites? She builds one of her own, of course. Eleven-year notary Mary Pugh of Norwalk, Connecticut would often field requests for her services from signing agencies across the country. When her schedule was booked solid, she’d offer to find a local notary to hand the extra work to.
The problem, as Pugh puts it, is that, “No one in the country had a comprehensive, searchable, publicly-accessible database of notaries. Finding a notary for these specialty assignments was so frustrating, I decided to create my own.”
With a Columbia MBA and 31 years of marketing experience she knew exactly where to find the information and how to compile it into a user-friendly package. The website Mary created – https://www.notarizethis.info – is now live and for the first time ever, you can find a notary anywhere in the country with just one click.
Mary’s next project? To teach fellow notaries how to better market themselves so they get noticed more often.
