Hytrol Integration Partner Maybury Material Handling Explores Optimizing Customer Experience

Cameron Gillespie, the Digital Marketing Manager for Maybury Material Handling recently discussed how companies are having to reinvent their strategies surrounding customer loyalty in a blog article on The Hytrol Experience.

In the article, Gillespie noted, “A great example of an industry having to rethink its tactics regarding their customers is the manufacturing industry. As the field has become more competitive and saturated, manufacturing companies face rapid commoditization.”

Gillespie explained that price cutting, a classic competitive strategy, is no longer sufficient. “The challenge for businesses is to think beyond numbers and visualize the customer as the center of their operation,” he said. “The key objective is to enhance customer experience by building a relationship with the customer through a great experience with the company.”

In the article, he mentioned that consumers have become more demanding and skeptical on buying into businesses. “Companies are under pressure to validate their products' value, and manufacturing is no exception,” he said. “If the company systems are not up to par with the customer needs, customers will have to find vendors to replace all of the individual products in the solution. Customers do not want a partial solution to their problems--they want the total solution package.”
