For his March 30, 2015 birthday, Clapton will have two celebration concerts at New York's Madison Square Garden. The pair of concerts will be held on May the 1st and again on May the 2nd of 2015. In addition to being a birthday celebration, these concerts also loosely mark the 46th anniversary of Clapton's first appearance in Madison Square Garden. This occurred on November 2nd of 1968. Clapton appeared with the band known as "Cream". All in all, Clapton has appeared at the Garden 45 times, exceeding his number of appearances in any other venue in the United States.
These grand upcoming concerts will be opened by an act called Andy Fairweather Low & The Low Riders. Following this opening act, Clapton will appear with members his band: Michelle John, Sharon White, Chris Stainton, Nathan East, Steve Gadd and Paul Carrack.
