A Website Page titled Umroh Backpacker offered a new style for Muslims to carry out Umrah pilgrimage journey. Through the social media, the organization invites Indonesian pilgrims especially those who are based in Indonesia, to make the travel in backpacking style.

Added with tax and flight cost to Malaysia or Thailand, the travel costs 13.500.000 IDR in totals. Still a bit cheaper than regular costs of 17.000.000 IDR to 25.000.000 IDR when the pilgrims enrolled in a tour agency from Indonesia.
Umrah means to perform Tawaf round the Kaaba and Sa'i between Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, after assuming Ihram (a sacred state), either from a Miqat like Zu 'l-Hulafa, Juhfa, Qarnu 'l-Manāzil, Yalamlam, Zāt-i-'Irq, Ibrahīm Mursīa, or a place in Hill. It is sometimes called the 'minor pilgrimage' or 'lesser pilgrimage', the Hajj being the 'major' pilgrimage and which is compulsory for every able-bodied Muslim who can afford it. The Umrah is not compulsory but highly recommended.
The government of Saudi Arabia manages the logistics of visitors coming for both Hajj and Umrah. The Umrah also requires a visa and travel arrangements through an authorized Hajj/Umrah service provider. There is no set time for Umrah; it can be done at any time of year. Several million Muslims prefer to do Umrah during the month of Ramadan each year.
The Saudi ministry in charge of religious pilgrimages has warned of tough penalties for hotels and tour companies that artificially inflate prices during the upcoming Umrah season. The Hajj and Umrah Ministry also warned businesses to keep their prices affordable for Umroh Murah.
The journey Umroh Hemat to fulfill the religious duty will be more exciting, plus, there is a chance to have a short visit to Malaysia or Thailand. However, this style of pilgrimage travel is not suitable for elderly.
