The business world is always looking for ways to get new products and services funded. Hopeful business owners are always looking for ways to obtain the money needed to start their own business. Over the last few years, crowdfunding as emerged as an incredible way to not only find the money needed but find the customers too. In 2014 $9 Billion dollars changed hands with crowdfudning.
"This is not new but using the internet has made it more accessible to the average person," says Dr. Wright. "Over the last few years, crowdfunding has emerged as an exciting new way to start or grow a business. With the information on how to make a successful campaign, anyone can raise the money they need." On Friday, March 20th, Dr. Wright will be teaching a free class at the Small Business Administration office in Glendale, California. This class will cover the basics on how crowdfunding works and how to run a campaign that makes money.
Crowdfunding can be used to start a business, create new products, write a book, for new inventions, new fashion lines, food trucks and many other new ideas that an entrepreneur might have. The main ingredient to success is having a crowd who is interesting in what you are doing. People get excited and share about your new project and then share it to other people. There are many crowdfunding sites people can use besides the two most well-known sites: Kickstarter and Indie- gogo. There are lots of choices to make when deciding to get the word out. Dr. Wright will cover the strategies in the free class.
