Remember the Choose Your Own Adventure books – how you could essentially dictate the direction the story goes? Well, a new company has come up with the film equivalent.
MovieMaze is the world’s first interactive movie app for mobile devices. The 'app' works on smart phones, tablets, and other mobile devices, and acts as both a library and a platform for interactive content.
Much like the aforesaid books, MovieMaze shows menus of choices at turning points in the story. The viewer’s choices determine what happens next.
MovieMaze will be releasing their new episode The Plumber – a cartoonishly enjoyable horror/science-fiction hybrid – this month on iTunes and other outlets. It will officially premiere at Amazing Arizona, Phoenix on Feb 13-15. The episode features recognizable faces, Darcy Donovan (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) and Brian Prisco (Bones).
Two of the creators, Maria Collis and Erik Lundmark, based in L.A, also run the production and sales company LeoMark – responsible for the distribution of a large number of cult and current hits.
The Plumber will be available right around the world.
