Excitement Builds For Largest GNEX Conference Ever

The GNEX 2015 Timeshare Leaders Conference, Feb. 15 – 18, is shaping up to be the most successful of the series yet. The event, hosted by Perspective Group, takes place at the luxurious Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego, Calif., overlooking San Diego Bay.

The Global Networking Expo (GNEX), now in its fifth year, brings together senior executives from more than 100 companies across six continents. With a refreshing focus on forging new business relationships, the event provides unrivaled access to prospective clients and strategic partners. Dubbed "The Global Meeting of Minds,” GNEX has earned a reputation for delivering open dialogue among industry leaders and carefully planned networking events in collaborative setting that redefines the traditional conference format.

Highlights include one-of-a-kind social events and panels featuring some of industry’s most forward-thinking professionals.

Exciting Social Events

The conference opens, Sun. Feb. 15,  with the GNEX 2015 Dream Car Challenge. Delegates can unleash their inner racecar driver and take exotic cars for a spin around a custom-designed autocross track not far from the Manchester Grand Hyatt. The cars – each with a retail value exceeding $250,000. – can go from 0 – 60 mph in roughly three seconds. Places are limited, and available to delegates in the order in which they register.

This year’s Wrap Party takes place aboard the USS Midway. As the sun sets, GNEX will take over the legendary World War II Navy aircraft carrier, now serving as a museum in the San Diego Bay. The private party will feature an open bar on the flight deck; tours of the Admiral's quarters, command center and engine room; and 360-degree air combat flight simulators in the hangar bay. Also at the gala, GNEX will honor timeshare’s best and brightest in a ceremony announcing the 2015 Perspective Magazine Award winners before an audience of 200 senior timeshare executives from across the globe.

The award-winning FLUXX Nightclub will set the stage for another GNEX night to remember, this one courtesy of DAE. The global timeshare exchange giant and long-term GNEX sponsor will host the first-ever GNEX Party “Takeover!” with complimentary food, entertainment and open bar. Located in the historic Gaslamp Quarter, FLUXX is minutes from the Manchester Grand Hyatt.


Focus on Business Opportunities and Growth

GNEX 2015 will be packed with compelling sessions featuring leaders in the timeshare and complementing industries. Mark McCullough, TripAdvisor’s senior territory manager for the Americas, will return this year to discuss how the world’s largest travel website can help timeshare companies stay ahead of the competition.

National Timeshare Owners Association president and CEO Greg Crist will unveil insights from the 2015 Timeshare Owners Study. This first-of-its-kind study, conducted by INTUITION Brand Marketing on behalf of NTOA, analyzed publicly available social media conversations about the industry occurring throughout the entirety of 2014.

During panel sessions, timeshare leaders and investment and lending companies will share expertise on best routes for industry growth in the coming year and beyond. Sessions will cover the industry’s big topics, such as how to:

  • Leverage delinquent or developer-owned inventory for higher occupancy and revenue
  • Revitalize legacy resorts
  • Customize marketing messages based on customer preferences for higher returns
  • Maximize partnerships with hotel chain, now entering the timeshare marketplace
  • Create a corporate culture to drive productivity and growth


In keeping with the GNEX focus on networking, there will be hour-long coffee breaks to give delegates plenty of time to swap cards and maximize business opportunities. Additionally, one of the conference’s most popular events, organized Speed Networking, will return. Each delegate will have the opportunity to meet 30-plus other attendees in quick succession and make arrangements for more in-depth, follow-up discussions later during the conference.
