New ‘Give PEACE a Chance’ Kickstarter Campaign Aims to Spread Peace on Earth Through Performance Art

On September 3rd, Dmitry M. and Vladimir K. launched a Kickstarter campaign to build a peace sign that is large enough to be seen from space. Using environmentally friendly materials, the team will create a 305 feet (93 meters) long sign on a plot of land located in the United States.

“Our project can be called as new type of art - crowcreation. It means, that our virtual Internet team will build a real physical art object. We hope that our idea is only the start and other people will follow in our footsteps.” - Dmitry, cofounder of the project.

After completion, the peace sign will be large enough to be visible from google maps and all backers and viewers will receive the appropriate GPS coordinates to view the sign from the google maps app.

“We wanted to organize an event with the help of many people from around the world to declare our position of supporting peaceful processes and peace on Earth.” - Dmitry, cofounder of the project.

In exchange for pledging funds to the Kickstarter campaign, backers can choose from a variety of ‘perks’ or ‘rewards’ including getting their name near the sign, having access to the construction site, and also being updated daily with photos showing the construction of the peace sign.

“Backers who grant the bigger sums will get their names near the sign, and also their names will be visible from the space. All backers will be fully informed about construction process.” - Dmitry, cofounder of the project.

The project will be live on Kickstarter until Nov 2nd, during which time backers can pledge their support and receive exclusive rewards. For more information, contact the creators below or visit the Kickstarter page here
