The first annual Canadian Resort Conference (CRC), hosted by Perspective Group on behalf of Canadian Resort Development Conference concluded today after a day and a half of poignant sessions and debates.
Attracting 80 senior level representatives from 50 companies spanning Canada, The United States, Mexico & the Caribbean, this event drew from industry experts in a series of Q&A panel session debates.
Topics covered included delivering an outstanding customer experience, how to stay competitive, how to support aging resorts with aging owners, preserving the traditional ownership experience within different environments, and innovative ways to attract new customers.
Keynote speeches came from Jim Madrid, CEO, Advance Corporate Technology, on Employee Engagement and Culture, plus Mark McCullough, Senior Territory Manager, North Americas from TripAdvisor on the Impact of Online Reviews.
The combination of sessions with extended networking time and social events made this event a success for attendees, with many new business relationships made.
The Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA), is a trade association dedicated to furthering the interests of the resort industry in Canada and throughout the world, and has already accrued another three new members during the event, with more expected in the follow up afterwards.
The annual conference, which alternates between locations in Eastern and Western Canada, will be held in Vancouver in 2015.
