Wisconsin has been led throughout the season by Frank Kamisnky, who leads the team in points per game with 18.7. Just two other players averaged double digits this season including Nigel Hayes (12.4 ppg) and Sam Dekker (13.9 ppg). The latter is having a remarkable tournament and has helped get the Badgers within a single win of the championship game.
The first match of the night will pit two legendary head coaches in Tom Izzo and Mike Krzyzewski against each other. In this generation of coaches, only a few other names are even close to the same level of Izzo and Krzyzewski. At the conclusion of this game, just one of those coaches will advance to the title game.
The Spartans have been led all season by Travis Trice, who is having one of the best tournaments of any player this year. Stars like Denzel Valentine and Branden Dawson have also excelled for Michigan State including the latter who used statements from Louisville Cardinals player Montrezl Harrell to fuel his play in their Elite 8 game.
Duke will be led in this game, as they have been throughout the season by potential No. 1 draft pick, Jahlil Okafor. Okafor has been amazing all season, averaging 17.5 ppg, but it has also been the play of Justice Winslow that has helped Duke get to the Final Four. Winslow has had three double-doubles in this tournament and will look to do more of the same against the Spartans.
