Jan 29, 2015 - America - Table fans can cool your home in the summer and create air circulation in the winter months. Their broad blades and grills feature many angles and surfaces that can collect grime and dust. Solar Stand Fan should be cleaned regularly, but you must exercise caution and clean them properly to avoid possible injury.
Unplug your fan. Never clean an electrical device with water if it is plugged in.
Remove the grill from the fan. Refer to the owner's manual for instructions. If you do not have the manual, remove the grill by inspecting the fan for screws and brackets. Some fan grills are simply clipped together by moving brackets. Screws may have to be removed on other models to take off the grill.
Dampen a soft cloth with a mild soap solution. Gently wipe the blades to remove dust and grime. Soak the grill in a tub of soapy water to clean off all of the dust. Dry all parts before putting the fan back together.
Wipe down the base of the fan with the cloth. Do not let any water drip into the electrical components of the DC Stand Fan.
Regularly blow the dust off of the blades and grill with a can of compressed air. This should be an ongoing maintenance procedure.
Never submerge the base of your fan in water. Water should never come in contact with the fan's motor or any electric components.
