Balancing between work and personal life, while doing what you love

Nowadays, almost everyone thinks it's kind of a challenge to balance your work and personal life. We're workaholics, we struggle to make more and more money, so that our family does not miss a thing. But they miss our presence.

In this battle with time, we are sometimes to caught with what we have to do, and we forget about our loved ones.

Don't make compromises

I'm not saying that you should never make compromises, but you shouldn't make one when it comes to choosing between work and personal life. You can spend time with your family, and friends, and you can also do what you love, and make money out of it.

If you're working in a corporation that's slowly eating your soul, and consuming all your energy and time, then it's probably the time to quit your job. You might say that it's not that simple to do that, and I agree with you. Everybody's scouting for jobs these days, and that's why we tend to hold on to the one we have right one.

If you love your corporate job so much, that you can't see yourself working anywhere else, then it's time to start applying some tips that will balance your work and personal life.

• Family time is family time. This means that no checking your emails, nor checking your phone.
  
  
• Don't bring your work issues at home. We all know that corporate jobs are stressful, but there's no need to bring work frustrations at home. They are no good for anyone.
  
  
• Relax. It's just you and your family, or you and your friends. It's time to have a good time, and spend some quality time with the ones you love.

You have options

With the rise of the online environment, it's now become much easier for us to start our own business, work from home, whilst spending time with our family and friends.

I truly believe that life is too short to not do what you really want, and spending it exhausting yourself, rather then enjoying every bit of it.

Being your own boss could change all that. Plus, today it's all about digital and online. You simply cannot fail here. The great advantage here is that you won't have a tight schedule, you will be able to be at home with your little kids (if you have), and you will simply be able to make the schedule however you want.
