JOHANNESBURG - June 1, 2020 - Storyteller and author Eric Blue debuted his novel, "The Mandela Effect Black and White," a satirical journey by all accounts, giving readers the joy of the New South Africa as well as a rude awakening of the past. Currently listed as the #1 Historical Thriller eBook on Amazon, it is also available from Apple, Google Play, Kobo, and many other online bookstores. Dr. Melissa Caudle, bestselling author, and media influencer says, "This is a must-read." According to Blue he says, "I hope many youngsters of all races will read my book and realize how fortunate they are to live in a democratic South Africa, even despite the challenges the country is facing these days. I provide a unique background and understanding of the racial issue."

ABOUT THE BOOK

Ever wondered about how it would be to go back in time and change history? The satirical novel, "The Mandela Effect," gives an insight into how a Rainbow Nation South Africa of 2010 celebrated the hosting of the FIFA 2010 World Cup. Of course, it wasn't always like that. When a gas pipe blast in a local restaurant takes law student Lindiwe Buthelezi out of her comfort zone and back to the year 1987 when apartheid (racial segregation) was at its worst, she soon realises the important role that she has to play in following in her late mother's footsteps. Add in the African American duo of CNN political reporter Louise Burrell and Washington D.C. and a based human rights lawyer Pearce Ellison, the race is on to plot a smooth way to democracy for the New South Africa. The book is well-researched detailing South Africa's road to democracy, as it brings back memories of just how close Africa's most southern nation was to a potential civil war, with all sides eventually striving for a democratic outcome.

REVIEWS

What a fascinating story. When Mandela walked out of prison in 1990, lots of people remembered this dude was dead. This book gives a drilling answer for this phenomenon. With a spice up of science fiction and a romantic encounter between black and white, I really love this book and cannot wait for the next edition of the "Mandela Effect Trilogy."
