Legal Tech Entrepreneur Gurinder Sangha Joins The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics as a Fellow

Legal technology entrepreneur Gurinder "Gary" Sangha is now a Fellow at CodeX: The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, the think tank for legal technology research and innovation.

Sangha is the founder and CEO of Lit IQ, which fueled his joining CodeX. While other startups try to automate legal work, Sangha focuses on using technology to improve the work lawyers perform. Lit IQ uses advances in computational linguistics technology to help lawyers draft precise and error-free legal documents, such as patents, contracts and regulations. Sangha will continue this research at CodeX.

Sangha is also the founder and former CEO of Intelligize, which helps business professionals research regulatory filings. Current customers include most of the AmLaw 100 law firms and three of the Big Four accounting firms. He also teaches business law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Prior to founding Intelligize, Sangha practiced securities law at the Hong Kong office of White & Case LLP, concentrating on international debt transactions. He also worked as a capital markets attorney for Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York City, focusing on initial public offerings. Sangha has also consulted for Wolters Kluwer Law & Business.

About the fellowship, Sangha said, “I am honored CodeX selected me to be a Fellow. I am eager to see what innovative technologies we can develop for the legal services sector.”

“We're thrilled to have Gary join our group of CodeX fellows,” said Dr. Roland Vogl, the Executive Director of CodeX. "He is a seasoned and very talented legal tech entrepreneur. His deep understanding of the legal industry, combined with his passion for improving our legal system through advanced information technologies, make him a great addition to our Center,” said Vogl. “We look forward to seeing what strides we make with Gary aboard.”
