New York, NY – Overture Entertainment, Inc. (OEI) is pleased to announce the official release party celebrating Pop/R&B singer-songwriter Robbie Jenkins’ new album “#Evolution.” This exclusive event, “#Evolution: An Album. A Movement,” is rolling out on Valentine’s Day weekend: Friday, February 13 from 7-10pm at Factory Underground, located at 16 Isaac Street in Norwalk, Connecticut. OEI’s first documentary film, “Evolution: Realizing the Vision,” will premiere at the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to mingle on the red carpet with local celebrities, land exclusive merchandise, and enjoy a special, live performance from Jenkins.
“#Evolution” was released on January 21 and is Jenkins’ second full-length album. The work is available for download on iTunes. The album’s first single, “One Night,” debuted in December and the video for the track is available on YouTube. Denise Anderson Bloomfield, publisher of the family-friendly website SoCal City Kids (socalcitykids.com), enjoyed the album’s eclectic mix of tracks, noting “it’s refreshing to hear meaningful lyrics.” Popular music personality DJ LS heard an advance copy of the album and had this to say: “As a DJ, I knew right off the bat it would be wrong to even think about playing #Evolution with a lot of other music that plays on the radio airwaves today. #Evolution is Exuberant! The new album and release party event are already drawing notable media attention. Local and national DJs are currently giving the album’s lead tracks airplay time. Jenkins has been interviewed on InTheMixxRadio.com, and was featured on Gwen Edwards’s weekly culture magazine program “Our Lives” on News 12 Connecticut.”
The 55-minute documentary “Evolution: Realizing the Vision” is produced by Overture Entertainment, Inc. and RJ Films. The film highlights Jenkins’ journey of rediscovering his passion for music after a personal tragedy, and offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the making of “#Evolution” with footage of recording sessions and interviews with the album’s creative team. “It’s my hope the film will inspire viewers to pursue their dreams and passions, and never give up,” said Jenkins. The video for the album’s second single, “Totally Anew,” will debut at the release party, followed by Jenkins’ live performance to showcase songs from “#Evolution.”

Jenkins and OEI have partnered with Stamford-based non-profit Project Music, a community program that provides music education and mentorship to inner-city youths. The organization will have a presence throughout the evening, with 100% of donations made during the event directly benefitting their efforts. G.R.I.D.S. Consulting will be leading the Strategic Marketing and Media relations at the event. Chef Jeff Esaw of Jeff’s BBQ and Catering, a four-time Zagat winner for “Best BBQ,” is sponsoring the event along with Express Property Services, LLC, which will be providing an assortment of wines. The evening will highlight additional small businesses in the Connecticut area.
“#Evolution: An Album. A Movement” is free and open to the public. Cocktail attire is encouraged. Space is limited to 150 attendees, and ticket reservations are required for entry. Guests must reserve their space on EventBrite before 5pm on Wednesday, February 11.
