Miss Marlin Custom Store Launches Kickstarter Fundraiser to Open Pinterest-Based Store

Shannon Horovsky has launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to fund her startup business, the "Miss Marlin Custom Store." This is a Pinterest-based store that will create custom handmade DIY products for customers.

Shannon Horovsky has always wanted to open her own store based on her crafts and creations, but once Pinterest became popular, she finally saw a way that it could be done.  She and her team can create all types of DIY or craft items, post them online and offer them in an offline store as well.  Now, Shannon and her team have launched a Kickstarter event to raise funds for opening their online and offline store which is known as "Miss Marlin Custom Store."  The campaign is located at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/991706774/miss-marlin-custom-store

According to Shannon, "My vision is to open up a store that makes Pinterest come to life. People can come into this store and browse through the things that I and my team have already made to rent for an event. There will also be a consulting table that you can go to, show your Pinterest or other DIY ideas of what you want made and order the quantity of each item. Then you will get a price estimate of what it would cost if you decide not to keep the items and give them back to us to rent out, and a price if you want to keep the item/items."

Shannon Horovsky says that each consulting table would be classified by event categories such as weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, business events, food shows or personal use.  She will also need to purchase chairs, tables, silverware and linens to rent out for special events.  These items would be shipped across the country for events then returned to be rented again to another party.

"I can make anything that you see on my Pinterest or Instagram page within reason of time and price and materials," Shannon says.  She would like to buy tools, supplies and fund marketing and advertising with her Kickstarter campaign.

At the $25 level, backers will receive a print of one of Shannon's custom paintings or photographs, or one item from her jewelry store.  For $50, donors receive two prints or two jewelry items.  Backers at the $100 receive three prints and one jewelry item.  Donors who pledge $500 or more will receive their choice of a customized item worth up to $50 in supply costs, four prints and two handmade jewelry items.  Finally, backers at the $1,000 level will receive their choice of a $100 Pinterest item, five prints and three jewelry items.  All shipments are for anticipated delivery of June 2015.
