Vancouver, BRITISH COLUMBIA - Jan 05, 2015 – Cell phones and iPads as well as social media have taken over human existence. 'Document ME', a cutting edge 'selfie' style character study features the best and worst of times in Mark Wynn Sweatman's life and his place in the world as he perceives it through this intimate, up-close and unforgiving self-portrait.
As part of the campaign, filmmakers are asking the world and anyone in it to submit their 'selfie-videos' where individuals, in 1-5 minutes, tell the filmmakers their unique 'selfie' story. Some will be used in the finished film DocUment ME.
The story of DocUment ME follows Mark's life for the past five years. The film extricates how the camera cell phone has taken over modern civilization. The film is a sort of social case study viewing life through the lens and iris that humans see in and out like an omniscient eye as a perverse and often poetic journey.
An innovation in style, story and structure this first of a new genre of film as both true story docu-reality and fiction that is created in people's characters, is devoted to the character study of the 'modern renaissance man.'
Angel investors helping fund the DocUment ME movie campaign are eligible for perks such as producer credits, participation in the film from extra-selfies to feature actor roles and your name in the credits. Most rewards include polaroids or postcards used in film, original quotes and poems by ME aka Mark Wynn Sweatman, digital back stage pass, digital download copy of film, autographed DVD copy of the film and much, much more.
Mark understands not everyone may be able to give money to help the DocUment ME movie campaign, so he asks that those who cannot give monetarily help by spreading the word about the DocUment ME movie project online through social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr or record a video challenge for Vine, Facebook or Instagram to invite friends to give to or share this Kickstarter fundraiser.
