Nanjing, China - Vazyme, a leading life science technology company, recently had the honor of hosting distinguished delegates from MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the world’s leading cancer research and treatment institutions.
This visit was the result of a recent promotional event, where the winners received the exciting opportunity to tour Vazyme headquarter and famous sights in Nanjing and engage in meaningful communication about our innovative technologies, research initiatives and reliable products & services in the field of biotechnology.
We are honored to welcome Dr. Alejandro Aballay, Dean at MD Anderson Cancer Center, along with his colleagues Dr. Yu Sang, Senior Research Scientist, and Dr. Jie Ren, Postdoctoral Fellow, as the lucky winners from the Start Testing Now, You Are The One Free Tour to China promotion.
Their visit included an engaging tour of our state-of-the-art laboratories, which featured the Enzyme and Protein R&D Center and Life Science Labs. These labs encompass the Reagent Preparation Room and the PCR & qPCR Instrument laboratories with over 100 qPCR instruments, ensuring that each testing area operates independently through physical isolation and pressure control. Additionally, we showcased our Nucleic Acid Extraction and DNA Electrophoresis rooms, equipped with our self-developed automatic 32 and 96 throughput nucleic acid extraction instruments, which are designed for different scale experiments.
During the tour, the team had a dynamic discussion with Dr. Zhang Lijun, senior vice president of Vazyme. And our Application Specialist, Dr. Zhang Chao, shared insights about our protein-directed evolution platform. The dialogue encompassed various topics, including the latest advancements in protein engineering, potential applications in cancer research, and the importance of biopharmaceutical development. They explored how Vazyme’s technology can support MD Anderson’s ongoing research initiatives, particularly in the areas of targeted therapies and personalized medicine.
Dr. Jie Ren expressed his gratitude, stating, “Thank you to Vazyme for giving us the opportunity to visit. Their laboratories are very clean and organized, managed well. The team is young but talented and energetic, and their Automated Liquid Handling Workstation leaves a deep impression on me due to its flexible programming, which can meet a variety of experimental needs. I sincerely wish Vazyme a better future.” Both parties discussed potential collaborations, including opportunities for future partnerships to enhance integration at MD Anderson.
