Montebello, California - July 29, 2021 - LifeLine Ambulance business leader Max Gorin commences his scholarship program for all incoming and current college students. The scholarship’s goal is to aid college students in the ever-increasing costs of completing their degrees. Each year a winner will receive a $1,000 award to be applied toward tuition, room and board, books, or any related educational expense.
Pursuing and obtaining a college degree can have a significant impact on an individual’s future. It paves the way to success by allowing students to pursue the industry of their passions. However, not all students have the means to begin this important journey. Financial struggles hinder many because of increasing tuition fees and additional expenses of attending college.
Max Gorin is a firm believer in the impact education has on people’s lives. When starting LifeLine Ambulance, Gorin worked hard to obtain his EMT license while learning every aspect of critical care transport (CCT) and the broader scope of becoming one of Los Angeles’ most well-known Emergency Medical Service providers. After nearly 20 years of dedicated service, Gorin wants to give back through the Max Gorin Scholarship. This financial assistance program began in 2021 to help college students on their path toward career success.
To be considered for the scholarship program, students must meet one of the following requirements:
- They must be enrolled as an undergraduate or a graduate student in a U.S. university or college program before the scholarship deadline, or
- They must be a high school student accepted into a U.S. college or university before the scholarship deadline.
Those who meet any of the requirements mentioned above can submit their applications to the Max Gorin Scholarship website. Additionally, applicants should submit a 400-word essay using the following prompt:
“Healthcare in America is a frequently debated topic. Do you believe an individual’s ability to obtain higher education can impact their long-term quality of health? Why or why not?”
Students may submit applications and essays through the form on the scholarship website. All entries must be received on or before June 30, 2022. After all of the material is received and reviewed, the $1,000 scholarship award winner will be announced.
Max Gorin, a well-respected EMS growth expert, is a healthcare business leader and a co-founder of the LifeLine Ambulance in California, with 19 years of emergency medical service industry experience.
