The LOOP Celebrates Black History Month and Women’s History Month With Two New Singles

Boston-based music group, The LOOP, set to release their first two singles "See Me Beyond My Skin" and "Affirmations" in celebration of Black History Month and Women's History Month

Ladies of Opportunity and Promise, popularly known as The LOOP look set to disrupt the music scene and entertainment world with the release of their new singles. The new songs will be released from their upcoming EP titled What I Feel. The songs “See MBeyond My Skin” and “Affirmations,” reiterate the ingenuity and creativity of the duo of MZariah Starr and Marcia as they treat music lovers to thought provoking yet entertaining content. 

Music is the source of my happiness; not just what it sounds like but how it makes me feel,” said Marcia. 

Music is my outlet and I make it so people can feel what I feel. I want my music to be an outlet for people around the world,” said M’Zariah Starr. 

It is looking like the dawn of a new beginning in the music world, with the emergence and steady rise of Ladies of Opportunity and Promise (LOOP). The group was formed in 2019 after talented entertainers and passionate musicians, MZariah Starr and Marcia joined together with other friends to perform together at different events in the Boston area. The group has become increasingly popular in and around Boston as well as other parts of the country and looks set to drop a new EP to serenade lovers of good music. 

 

“See Me Beyond My Skin,” which is the first of the two singles will be officially released on February 18 and immediately available on all major streaming platforms. The single is released to celebrate Black History Month and will be dropped on Toni Morrison’s birthday, February 18, appreciating the African American author’s contribution to the black community. The song uses spoken word and beautiful vocals to talk about racism and colorism from the perspective of today’s youth. 

“Affirmations” the second single that will be dropped on March 18th, which happens to be the birthday of Queen Latifah, a notable African American icon who has made her mark as an advocate for women, musician, actor, TV show host and business mogul. The song is an up-tempo groove that empowers young women to speak positivity about themselves.

About The Loop 

The Loop is a music group based out of Boston. The group consists of Marcia Bibbins and M’Zariah Starr. Marcia is a singer, songwriter, actress, and model. She is a student at the Boston Arts Academy and has worked on several projects, including soloist for single “Dance With My Mask On” on Amazon Music and “We The People – Get Up (As We Speak.) The other half of the duo, M’Zariah Starris another multifaceted entertainerShe is an actress, dancer, singer, rapper, and voiceover artist.
