Dr. Schmidt has been practicing for more than 48 years and is currently serving as a Urologist at Chase County Community Hospital Specialty Clinic in Imperial, Nebraska. He is also affiliated to Grant Hospital and Perkins County Community Hospital.
Dr. Richard A. Schmidt gained his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Western Ontario's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, graduating from there in 1968. An internship followed at St. Michael's Hospital. After residencies at McGill University Hospital, Montreal General Hospital, and Victoria Hospital, Dr. Schmidt gained a fellowship in Urology from the University of California – San Francisco.
Dr. Maxfield is board certified by the American Board of Urology, and is a member of many professional organizations including the American Urological Association, the National Association for Continence, and the International Continence Society. He attributes his success to his solid academic background, and when not working he enjoys playing golf.
