Konark Dance School And MKK-USA Showcases A Series Of Indian Dance Forms

Konark Dance School and MKK-USA presents JYOTI, an event that will showcase various forms of Indian dances.

On Saturday, March 5, 2016, Washington, DC-based KONARK Dance School and MKK-USA will present “JYOTI” (Illumination).  This dance event will showcase the compositions of Jayantee Paine-Ganguly, director of the KONARK Dance School, and a renowned dance artist, teacher and choreographer.  Over 40 artists will present dances in the Kathak and Odissi styles. 

The event will be held at the Ernst Cultural Center Auditorium at Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale, VA.  Show time is from 2:00 until 4:30 PM, with an intermission of about 30 minutes.  Tickets are only $20 and $15, and will be available at the event.

The goal of this event is to present classical dances of India in their purest form.  Net proceeds of this event will be set aside for scholarships for needy children and humanitarian aid, the core mission of MKK-USA. Dr. Pradeep Gangly, Founder of CEO of MKK-USA stated, “We will showcase the cultural arts of India, and we will make a difference in the lives of children by providing educational support and humanitarian aid.”
