Tampa, FL - December 02, 2015 - Eric Stratman Owner and Operator of TNL CrossFit Tampa, an outstanding community and business leader created the first ever “Women’s Only WODs” competition to participate and raise money for breast cancer awareness. CrossFit WOW Challenge was held on November 14, at participating “Box” locations and consisted of a one-day International event designed to bring women and their local CrossFit communities together.
When asked what inspired him to start this event Eric Stratman stated “I saw the power of the CrossFit Community and was motivated to focus it for a good cause.”
Not only does this event support a great cause but it also supports local “Box” facilities and affiliates. The competition is challenging both mentally and physically. It allows women at any fitness level to compete, socialize with a great community, and support a great cause. 50% of proceeds went to Breast Cancer Awareness and 50% went to the participating “Box” locations. The WOW Fitness Challenge had 5 WOD’s and consisted of some of the following: 5 minute AMRAPs, 6min AMRAPs running simultaneously, deadlifts, burpees, push-ups, and airlifts.

TNL Tampa CrossFit was also supported by their partnering sponsor, TEN Institute for this event. Plenty of money was raised across the globe for breast cancer awareness. The participating box with the largest amount raised was CrossFit Equator in Indonesia; they raised $6,000 Dollars US.”
