Newport News, VA – JULY 28, 2015 – The Parsons Corporation and IVET Solutions is pleased to announce that Parsons Corporation has generated over $45,000 in fundraising events to support military members as they transition from their military careers into civilian life. This has been a consistent deliberate effort by Parsons over the last several years. “We are truly blessed at the consistent generosity of this great company,” said Brigadier General (Ret) Jeffrey Horne, CEO of IVET Solutions, as non-profit organization founded in 2010.
Parsons hosted its annual Golf Classic to benefit IVET on June 17, 2015, at the Augustine Golf Club in Stafford, VA. All proceeds from the event were donated to IVET, whose mission is to foster educational and job opportunities for veterans, reservists, National Guardsmen, and their spouses.
“Parsons is a true community partner having supported IVET for the last three years through this event. We commend them for their dedication to our nation’s warriors and their families. It is one of several great efforts that enabled us to serve thousands of individuals in the last several years.”
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to help military members find better careers, understand civilian employment cultures, and build better relationships and personal networks. IVET’s coalition of providers serves brings some amazing services together to create a solid link between military folks in the civilian job market and employers seeking qualified military to meet their employment needs.
