Quo Vadis is a film that is adapted from the Nobel Prize-winning novel Quo Vadis: A Narrative of the Time of Nero by Henryk Sienkiewicz. It is based in Rome in the early days of the Christian faith and explores love and terror in the time of one of the cruelest of Roman emperors. A new Kickstarter campaign has been launched to help raise funds for the creation of a soundtrack and actor voice-over talent for this full-feature 3D animation movie.
The story takes place in the Roman Empire in 63 AD and is based on the historical events. With collaboration from creators in Europe, India and the United States, the movie brings to life the characters of the Nobel Prize winner - Lygia (featured by Deborah Kerr in 1951 Hollywood super production), Viniucus (Robert Taylor) and the cruel Nero (Peter Ustinov). Quo Vadis, which means "Where are you going?" in Latin, becomes the thematic question of the story, which explores the sense of Christianity and its impact on modern culture.
The goal for this animated remake of a famous 1951 “Quo Vadis” MGM production, directed by Mervyn LeRoy is to use modern technology and a Hollywood-quality presentation to create a film worthy of the greatness of the novel. They are working with one of the best Indian animation studios experienced for last 20 years in the international co-productions. Now, the creators have launched a Kickstarter campaign to ensure that funds are available for the soundtrack and voice-over recordings necessary to support the movie's goal of quality and professionalism.
