The industry leading manufacturer of loading dock equipment supplied World Trade Center contractor Gem Construction & Restoration Corp. with a mobile yard ramp to help with their material handling needs as they complete their role in the project.
Gem Construction & Restoration Corp. was awarded the Interior Stone project contract within the WTC Transportation Hub. The contract called for stone purchase and installation in the Transit Hall, including two floors, the lower level and the upper Transit Hall.
Loading, unloading and maneuvering massive marble slabs takes quite a bit of industrial muscle and capability. Copperloy was up to the task and knew that one of their feature rich steel yard ramps would accomplish the job smoothly.
Copperloy supplied Gem with a 16,000 lb. capacity mobile yard ramp. This is one of their standard yard ramp sizes and capacities, offering a length of 36 feet, a height range between 37 and 65 inches, and an overall width of either 70 or 84 inches. It's a durable, highly functional product which can hold up to the wear and tear of nearly any application -- in this case, safely and successfully transporting the beautiful marble slabs to be installed.
