SINOFN Group Named Sub: Center of National Engineering Laboratory for Birth Defect Prevention

On December 24, 2020, the second council meeting of the National Engineering Laboratory for Key Technologies in Birth Defect Prevention was held in Beijing, followed by the first expert committee meeting the next day. The event brought together leading figures in maternal and child health, including Wang Qiaomei from the National Health Commission, Academician Qiang Boqin of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Huang Hefeng, and Academician Qiao Jie of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Among the attendees were Dr. Liu Hanmin, General Manager of SINOFN (Tianjin) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., and Dr. Zhang Ying, Director of R&D. Their participation marked a significant milestone for SINOFN Group.



Following a comprehensive evaluation of its research foundation, scientific achievements, team capabilities, and innovation goals, SINOFN was officially designated as a sub-center of the National Engineering Laboratory. The company will play a key role in developing critical technologies for special medical foods aimed at birth defect prevention. Dr. Liu Hanmin was appointed as a council member of the laboratory, while both Dr. Liu and Dr. Zhang were named to its technical committee.
