II. Main Types

The substrates for color-coated steel sheets include cold-rolled, hot-dip galvanized, and electrogalvanized steel sheets. Under normal operating conditions and proper processing and installation, pre-coated steel coils can be maintenance-free for 8-10 years, offering low cost and high cost-performance.

Silicon-modified polyester (SMP) coating

Features: Excellent film hardness, abrasion resistance, and heat resistance; excellent exterior durability; excellent chalking resistance and adhesion; rich colors; average bending properties. Suitable for environments requiring high pollution resistance and weather resistance.

Highly weatherable polyester (HDP) coating

Features: Excellent color retention and UV resistance; excellent outdoor durability, chalking resistance, and formability. Suitable for exterior building panels requiring high weather resistance, offering the most cost-effective architectural pre-coating.

Fluorocarbon (PVDF) Coating

Features: Excellent weather, chemical, and corrosion resistance; particularly stable in acidic, alkaline, and heavily polluted environments; excellent machinability; high flexibility, wear resistance, and impact resistance. Suitable for buildings with special requirements for pollution resistance and weather resistance, and requiring extremely long-term durability, such as roofs, walls, and exterior cladding of major public works.

Color-coated steel sheet is a product made by applying a coating (roller coating) or a composite organic film (such as PVC film) to cold-rolled or galvanized steel sheet after surface chemical treatment, followed by curing by baking.
