DOGU, a South Korean provider of AI-powered Safety Robots (ASR) led by CEO Jin-hyo Kim, is making significant strides in the North American market as global demand for patrol robots accelerates.

Since its founding in 2017, DOGU has been at the forefront of developing innovative AI-driven safety robots. Its product lineup includes three flagship models: ‘iroi’, designed for indoor environments; ‘Patrover’, optimized for outdoor operations; and the modular ‘Robjet.’ These are complemented by DOGU's proprietary Security Operation System (SOS) and advanced control program, Planner, which collectively demonstrate the company's technological expertise.

DOGU has established itself as a leader in South Korea, providing patrol robot services to prominent clients such as the National Police Agency, Samsung S-1, SK Shieldus, KT, and POSCO. Its robots currently operate at approximately 50 sites nationwide, the largest scale of any provider in the country.

Building on this proven track record, DOGU began its U.S. expansion in July 2024 by joining the K-Startup Center (KSC) in Seattle. In October 2024, the company established a local corporation in Delaware, strategically positioning itself to foster collaboration with investors and partners. Seattle, known as a global tech hub, and Delaware, celebrated for its business-friendly environment, were chosen as key bases for accelerating innovation and market entry.

DOGU is actively engaging with local investors to secure funding and partnerships. In November 2024, CEO Jin-hyo Kim participated in the Keiretsu Forum Northwest Roadshow, showcasing DOGU's innovative technology and vision across Vancouver, Bellevue, Seattle, and Portland. The company also connected with U.S. investors during the ‘Investment Insight-Info Session’ held at the KSC Seattle, strengthening its network of collaborators.

DOGU’s technology has already gained global attention, with its successful participation in CES 2024. The company has confirmed its presence at CES 2025, further solidifying its reputation as an innovator in the patrol robot industry.

A DOGU representative expressed optimism about the company’s future in North America:"Our AI-driven security and autonomous navigation technologies, proven through extensive deployment in South Korea, are well-positioned to succeed in the North American market. By tailoring our patrol robot solutions to meet local customer needs, we aim to localize our business effectively."

The representative further added, "Through collaboration with global tech companies, we are committed to driving innovation in robotics, from advancing new technologies to enhancing operational efficiency.”

With a robust portfolio of solutions and a clear vision for innovation, DOGU is poised to become a leader in the North American patrol robot market, driving the future of AI-powered safety and security.
