When Dr. Bari first took over the Islamic Mission Hospital back in 2005, he didn't just envision a hospital – he dreamed of an organization that would uplift lives and communities to take charge of their own health and livelihood. In the 16 years since, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Bari and his supporters, what started as a single hospital has blossomed into a nationwide network, serving more than 6 million patients with top-notch care, completely free of charge.
IHHN understands that healthcare isn't just about treating illnesses. It starts with recognizing how health intertwines with every aspect of life including the inequalities present in our environment. That is why IHHN has not limited itself to hospitals. It is developing universities to create competent human resources, running an in-hospital school tailored for children needing long-term care, providing free meals and accommodation for out-of-town patients and their families, and so much more. It is breaking social barriers by integrating its health facilities with systems offering legal aid, vocational training, and mental health support, ensuring that every person in touch has a pathway to a brighter future.
