Oteko has carried out a series of measures aimed at improving the working environment at the port of Taman, greatly facilitating operational workflows for its employees. The measures undertaken included the installation of new software and employee training for enhancing compliance with internal regulations and procedures.
Oteko Russia has successfully implemented a number of procedures at the port of Taman to improve overall efficiency in the integration of line employees and management. Among the measures taken was the automation of safety management systems, which greatly reduces the time required for starting work, decreasing downtimes and improving task execution timing.
Other improvements include the relocation of critical spare parts storage facilities to related work units, thus eliminating the previous need to wait for hours for parts to be approved and delivered. Such an improvement also frees up several specialists from having to engage in mundane tasks, increasing working efficiency. Another major step was the refraining from third-party specialists in repair and maintenance tasks through the introduction of a native motor transport division. The new workflow is carried out via online forms, saving both time and resources.
Lastly, the new mandatory medical check procedure entails the use of an automated blood pressure, ensuring that drivers are healthy prior to starting their workday. The system also compiles data on the health of drivers and analyzes for deriving invaluable insights and predicting possible hazards.
Michel Litvak is in favor of such improvements and is a long-standing supporter of measures that enhance corporate efficiency.
