Los Angeles, CA - August 30, 2018 - “MUSE is a well shot slow burn horror, with an interesting mythology and quirky supporting characters” – Horror Fuel. Watch it today on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2LdXkdV.
Exclusively from TriCoast Entertainment’s horror division, DarkCoast, Writer-Director John Burr’s (Boots, The Last Kill) eight-time winning, fantasy-horror MUSE combines elements of a psychological thriller, the supernatural, and unique, mythological Irish influences.
“A mixture of supernatural with a couple jump scares, MUSE ended up being a really well done film. The storyline was great, and while I normally figure out a movie by the middle, there were twists towards the end that threw me off and had me second guessing myself, which had me loving this movie even more.” Nightmarish Conjurings.
MUSE is a twisted, haunted fairytale following a struggling painter, Adam (Riley Egan), who longs for artistic inspiration and to become a successful artist. It is not until the “Leannán Sí” (Elle Evans), a glimmering, mystical and silent fairy-demon, mysteriously emerges, allowing Adam’s artwork begins to flourish. “The usage of the Celtic legend Leannán Sí: this is a unique mythology that hasn’t been exploited in the horror biz as much,” condemned Horror Fuel.
But when the two fall into a torrid love affair, Adam realizes the intensity of the Leannán Sí’s unwavering dedication to protect him when those who threaten him ultimately end up dead. With an upside down moral compass, Adam is forced to choose between his success and inspiration. Will he choose his morality, or will he choose his muse?
“MUSE is one straight up beautiful motion picture to behold; cinematographer Damian Horan along with writer/director John Burr know how to frame a scene for a maximum aesthetic impact, that’s for sure; and that helped the finished fright flick look much more expensive than it actually was,” wrote Horror Fuel.
Visually satisfying and accompanied by a wonderful score, MUSE is “a slow-burn fright flick experience,” continued Horror Fuel. Shot entirely in 15 days, MUSE is a gripping, psychological thriller that ultimately examines how inspiration can be downfall of any great artist.
From DarkCoast exclusively, MUSE is now streaming online digital platforms (Amazon, iTunes, Fandango, Hoopla, DirecTV, InDemand, Dish, Sling, XBOX, Vimeo on Demand).Watch MUSE on Amazon today: https://amzn.to/2LdXkdV.
