Born in the Sangrur district of Punjab, Jeet moved to Australia at a very young age. After an early background winning several youth vocal competitions, Jeet was given the opportunity to represent Australia in the Zee Tv’s “World Antakhshari Competition”. The same year he took part in Aus-Indian Modeling competition and won the title of Mr.Aus India. The following year Jeet Hakam was named the Australian “Youth of the Year”.
The following few years Jeet spent working on his craft. He learnt Indian classical and western vocals.
In year 2012, Jeet made his entry into the Punjabi music industry and very quickly established himself as a successful singer. He collaborated with artists like Jassi Jasraj, Miss Pooja, Ikka and Sachin Ahuja, just to name a few.
After giving us dance hits like HEY G HO G (Yotube India's most trending), PARTY KARNE and soft melodies like SURAT and MAAWAN WARGI, the international music sensation is back, this time with something different. Jeet has done a rendition of "PEERH TERE JAAN DI", a song dedicated to his favourite Punjabi singer, none other than Gurdass Mann, who sang it originally.
Gurdass Mann is recognised as one of the most notable figures in the world of Punjabi Music who has recorded over 34 albums and written over 305 songs.
Jeet said he has so many favourites by Gurdass Mann. Songs like Challa, Dil Da Mamla, Mamla Gadbad Hai, Heer and Apna Punjab Hove are evergreen songs that he grew up singing.
"I have grown up listening to Mann Saab and always wanted to dedicate a song to him as a respect to the legend, thanking him for all these years of amazing music and memories he has given us", said Jeet.
Jeet and his team have created an emotionally captivating animated video which really compliments the song.
