Jonathan Anzuoni’s first class at CPR of America was sold out as he crammed seven students into a small music school. The influx of students continued from one week to the next as hundreds of students from Harvard Medical School, MGH, and other surrounding universities were eagerly waiting to take his classes. With the extra capital he gained, he began to hire graphic designers to create a logo, business cards, and promote his site on Google through search engine optimization. He also hired a team of CPR instructors to work beside him. With the additional instructors, he tackled new demographics and opened locations in Billerica, Boston, and Cambridge. Eventually, using digital marketing, he created new interest from major restaurant chains, high-end hotels, and dental practices across New England.

Then I noticed that in the community I lived in, only a few people knew about CPR — due to the shortage of instructors in Rhode Island and learning about CPR became a passion of mine. Incidents like this are common in communities in the US and they have inspired me to become a certified American Heart Association instructor and to found my own company, CPR of America LLC.
