Phase one of $750m Ajman Uptown homes handed over

Up to 350 residences under phase one of Ajman's first freehold project worth $750m (AED2.7bn), Ajman Uptown, have been handed over to end users by the emirate's Ruler.

HH Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and member of the UAE Supreme Council, handed over home keys to villa owners under the 350ha (3.5 million sqm) project's first phase. 

Sweet Homes Group developed the project, with the company's general contracting arm acting as main contractor and the office of Eng Adnan Saffarini working as main consultant.

The master development will comprise 1,504 villas and townhouses; a hotel; a hotel apartments building; a shopping mall; a hospital club; two mosques; and a school upon completion. 

Ajman Uptown will also feature a fire-fighting station, security outposts, and boutique offices.

Remarking on the first phase's handover, Fahad Sattar Dero, managing director and CEO of Sweet Homes Groupsaid: "We are very proud to see the turnover of the 350 new villa units to their respective owners.

"The project is a welcome addition to the landmarks that redefine the landscape of Ajman."
