Love is in the air this Holiday season and certainly The Royal of Baloi (RHOB) was full of it during the 2-day Ali-Torres family reunion packed with humanitarian activities and royal awarding.
Her Highness Princess Mariam Amor Ali, the founder and president of We Care for Humanity (WCH), the only legally adopted daughter of the Prime Minister of RHOB, His Royal Highness Tuanku Dr. Camad Mangotara Ali, took her much awaited visit to the royal family on the morning of 26th December to celebrate post-Christmas and early New Year. But this time, she wasn’t alone. She came with Mr. Reynaldo Torres, the princess’ biological father to receive the Datuship award (as adopted brother and son of RHOB).
During the first day of activity, SPMUDA and WCH in collaboration with Qualfon Dumaguete, NMFCI and NORSU youth volunteers held asuccessful Relief Program giving-away umbrellas, slippers, towels and food to more than 300 underprivileged children and families in a small community in Dumaguete. It was a fun and engaging charity event with performances and games.
A business meeting was also held for SPMUDA International Chamber of Commerce Inc., (ICCI) in a beautiful Zen backdrop of The Forest Camp, a popular resort in the region. It was here where Dr. Amor was declared the Chairwoman Emeritus by its founder and president, Datu Camad Ali. Also announced as Sr. Executive Operations Officer was Dr. Abdul Hannan Tago- the Secretary of the Bangsamoro Federal Business Council Inc., and Queen Sigay, Rajah Putri of the Sultanate of Buayan Darussalam Philippine as the CEO.
Finally, the Royal Investiture and Family Reunion were held on the evening of 28th December at the cozy RCOB Royal Court with visitors from all over the nation. The night’s program, emceed by Jing Arnaez was filled with noble investiture, sumptuous dinner, exciting performances, generous gift-giving, tons of picture takings and the much-anticipated awarding of G.O.D. Awards Regalia to HRH Dr. Datu Camad Ali as Lifetime Achievement for Peace. The Princess emphasized, “My father, Datu Camad was the first Filipino to be honored at the G.O.D. Awards at the United Nations. We, at WCH and the committee of the awards proudly bestow this humanitarian regalia to His Highness, the same regalia which have been awarded to world leaders such as the Former President of Mexico - Vicente Fox, Former President of Ecuador - Rosalia Arteaga, Former President of Bangladesh - Muhammad Ershad, Former President of Zambia - Kenneth Kaunda, Former Prime Minister of Nepal - Khil Raj Regmi, Former Vice President of Kenya - Kalonzo Musyoka to name a few.”
Among the newly invested Datus are: Reynaldo Torres, Dr. Abdul Hannan Tago, Rene Utto Macaya and Rhandy A. Ibama.
