With years of experience in the realm of immunology, scientists from Creative Biolabs have developed MHC Tetramer to help researchers in disease and vaccine studies.
Creative Biolabs is a world leading biotechnological company in research and development of agents in the field of immunology. It is glad to release a series of MHC Tetramer products.
What is MHC Tetramer?
MHC Tetramer is an important tool for characterization of the specificity and phenotype of T cell immune response. It is useful in a large variety of disease and vaccine studies. Peptide-MHC multimers display an antigenic peptide in the MHC binding groove, functioning as a surrogate for recognition events that occur as part of the T cell interaction with antigen-presenting cell. The most prevalent form of multimer in use today consists of biotin-labeled pMHC displayed on streptavidin molecules, forming tetravalent complexes, so the common use of the term “tetramers” for this detection method. Since first description, MHC tetramers have been widely used in the quantitation of antigen-specific T cell response.
What can Creative Biolabs provide?
With the common efforts of its scientists, Creative Biolabs has an increasing number of peptide-MHC tetramer product collections. It provides different class MHC tetramer custom services and quality MHC tetramers. These MHC tetramers can be used in various studies, including cancer, virus, bacteria, etc.
MHC Tetramer for Cancer
MHC tetramers allow for ex vivo selection and proliferation of T-cells specific to tumor-related antigens, which can then be reintroduced to augment the immune system. Cancer immunotherapy would be largely influenced by this technology.
MHC Tetramer for Virology
It has been reported recently that ex vivo enrichment protocols based on the use of MHC class I tetramers allow the detection and characterization of rare antigen-specific CD8+ T-cell populations as well as an estimation of their frequency. Vaccine development would also be largely influenced by this technology.
MHC Tetramer for Bacteriology
MHC Tetramers have been proved to be very effective in identifying antigen-specific T cells by flow cytometry, even those present at low frequencies in fresh populations of lymphocytes sampled directly ex vivo.
