Dave Bresnahan of Faranabrack and Moving Pictures Media Group to Produce The Duke of Tralee

Dave Bresnahan of Faranabrack selects MPMG.
Dave Bresnahan of Faranabrack LLC has contracted with Moving Pictures Media Group for the development and production of a feature film, The Duke of Tralee.

Sandy, Utah – Dave Bresnahan of Faranabrack LLC has announced that he has signed an agreement with Moving Pictures Media Group (MPMG) of Santa Monica, CA to provide development and production services for the film The Duke of Tralee.

“I selected MPMG because they bring talented people and valuable resources to our film project that will enable us to put our best foot forward in development, and create an outstanding film in production,” explained Bresnahan.

Roger Bresnahan, The Duke of Tralee, was just 18 when he became a major league baseball player in 1897, but his factory-working Irish immigrant father told him to quit playing a boy’s game and be a man with a real job. Somehow he had to find a way to please his father while pursuing his dream of playing baseball.

Dave Bresnahan, who is a distant cousin of Roger, is the owner of Faranabrack LLC and is co-screen writer with David Mickey Evans (Sandlot) who is the Director of the film.

MPMG is a production company founded for motion pictures, television and internet content. The company provides a full suite of services including the development, production, post-production and analytics of films.

“Producer Ray Ellingsen of MPMG has many years of successful experience in filmmaking as a writer, director, supervising post production, and as a producer of feature films, documentaries, and commercials. Ray and the great people at MPMG know what I don’t know and so I knew that by selecting them I would end up with a much better film than I could possibly produce on my own. They are key members of my team,” Bresnahan added.

The film promises to appeal to baseball fans with the depiction of baseball in the early 1900s when they played with no safety gear, spit balls were legal, and they used tactics fans today would call dirty ball, but the crowds back then loved it. The Duke of Tralee played with greats like Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Honus Wagner, Christy Mathewson, Joe Tinker, Johnny Evers, Miller Huggins, and John McGraw.
