The Tragically Hip Tour begins at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre on the evening of Friday, July 22. Shows will fill major venues in Vancouver on July 24, Edmonton on July 28 and Calgary on August 1. Winnipeg, London, Hamilton and Ottawa will all host huge concerts in the following two weeks.
Toronto is the only spot that the Tragically Hip are currently scheduled to play twice, which will go down on August 10 and August 12 at the Air Canada Centre. The tour will close with a show at the Rogers K-Rock Center in Kingston, an awesome venue that seats just under 7000, as opposed to around 20,000 for many of the other locales. That means tickets to this show will be especially hot.
A few in the music media have dubbed "The Most Canadian Band Ever." This is obviously high praise, and likely garnered as a result of their deep connection to and love of their native homeland. ‘The Hip’ utilize themes and experiences involving their native lands for motivation and creative direction.
The result is that nearly all of the 14 Tragically Hip albums have been amazing, and just about every one of their concerts leaves fans with great memories that last forever.
The group recently dropped their latest studio release, entitled Man Machine Poem. It will be released to the public on June 17, five days before this highly-anticipated tour begins. Whether fans have been on board with the group and talented lead singer Gordy Downey since the beginning in 1984 or have just realized the greatness of this band in recent years, all can find affordable tickets now at TicketProcess.com.
