Ticket Down is a reputable source of authentic tickets for Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez on November 21st. Outside of the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao which took place earlier this year, the dream fight would be between Miguel Cotto and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. After several years in the making, that dream fight will happen. The Mandalay Bay Events Center inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV will be the site of this world title fight between two of the best middleweights in the sport. Fans of these two talented boxers will want to block out their schedule for November 21st when this dream fight takes place.
Heading into this fight, Alvarez (45-1-1) will be riding a three-fight winning streak that has come since the Mexican superstar suffered his first ever loss at the hands of Mayweather. Since his disappointment against Mayweather, Alvarez has earned a TKO win against Alfredo Angulo, split decision against Erislandy Lara, and highlight reel third round KO against James Kirkland. The win against Kirkland showed the boxing world that Alvarez was back and at the age of 25, is ready to take the sport away from the likes of Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Cotto.
The 34-year-old Cotto (40-4) will be 35 by the time the bell sounds for the start of his fight with Alvarez and much like his opponent, will be riding a three-fight winning streak. In May 2012, Cotto lost a unanimous decision to Mayweather and went 12 rounds that December with Austin Trout in what would end up being the first time he ever lost back-to-back fights. He returned to the ring in October 2013 and cruised to a third round TKO win against Delvin Rodriguez, 10th round referee technical decision win against Sergio Martinez to win the WBC, Lineal, and The Ring middleweights, and he defended those titles against Daniel Geale in June with a fourth round TKO.
The Mandalay Bay Events Center is a 12,000 seat venue within the casino that has been the home of many memorable fights in both boxing and mixed martial arts, as well as entertainment events such as World Wrestling Entertainment and the Latin Grammy Awards. It has been one of the most used facilities for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and has also held its fair share of world class boxing action including the Amir Khan vs. Zab Judah fight in 2011. The fight between Alvarez and Cotto may not be the biggest fight the sport has seen this year, but it will be one that the fans will want to see.
