May 1, 2015 - Successful entrepreneur and family man, Warren Sulmasy, made a recent donation to the Humane Society Naples, Florida, which protects animals in need and promotes responsible pet ownership.
The donation, which Sulmasy made on behalf of his animal-loving children, will help the Humane Society of Naples in its tireless work caring for lost, injured and abandoned pets.
"The organization does a wonderful job sheltering animals in times of need, responsibly placing animals with caring owners and teaching responsible pet ownership. It is truly a beautiful organization and I am proud to be a part of it," said Sulmasy.
The Humane Society of Naples first came to the former Wall Street trader’s attention following a class visit made there by his two daughters. Their infectious enthusiasm for the shelter motivated Sulmasy to look into the possibility of helping the organization. An animal-lover himself, he liked what he saw and felt moved to make a financial donation.
"My children could not stop talking about the Humane Society and the wonderful animals,” said Sulmasy.
Adding that his daughters would love a pet of their own, he noted good-humoredly, “I have this fear that given the choice between a pet and their father, my children would choose the pet.”

About The Humane Society Naples
Based in Naples, Southwest Florida, the Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter, adoption center and animal clinic. Started in the 1950s as a community organization, the Society was formalized in 1960, with volunteers caring for strays in their own homes and garages. By 1963 it had its own building, established through major fundraising drives and the kind donation of building plans from architect Walter Keller.
Since first opening its doors the Humane Society Naples has never stopped developing its services for the homeless pets of the surrounding area. Though it has expanded exponentially over the last five decades, its mission has never wavered - to shelter animals in times of need, locate life-long homes and promote responsible pet ownership through education, legislation and sterilization.
