Ease Layered Process Audit Technology Highlight of AIAG Quality Summit Next Month

Ease, Inc., a leading provider of process performance solutions, will be exhibiting at the upcoming AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) Quality Summit from September 22-23. Ease will be exhibiting at booth #20. AIAG anticipates 250-300 attendees. The summit will take place at the Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Avenue Novi, MI.

The 2-day event featuring keynote speaker Dr. Mark Rosekind, NHTSA will highlight the industry's best practices in proactive/preventive engineering and quality processes, methods, and tools to increase the safety, reliability, and durability of parts, systems, and vehicles. Layered Process Auditing, also known as LPA, is an increasingly popular quality tool developed for manufacturing management. When utilized properly, LPA will drive cultural change throughout an organization to improve quality, reduce scrap and rework, and reduce customer rejections. LPAs represent a formalized system focusing time and energy toward insuring high risk processes and error proofing devices do not exhibit a lot of variation and are working properly.

LPAs involve all levels of organizational management, across functional areas in process audits which observe and validate how products are made.  Developed by Chrysler and based on Toyota’s approach to quality management, LPAs offer organizations a chance to implement a culture of qualities over other types of audits. Ease Beacon provides management insight into KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), facilitates easy and efficient scheduling, and offers instant visibility into non conformances and mitigation activities across the organization. Coverage, conformance, and completion reports will drill-down support supply full visibility into audits by type and location, quickly identifying an organization’s most chronic process failures.

Beacon supports integration with existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software from companies such as Oracle and SAP. Ease’s software products are used on customers’ plant floors to drive lean manufacturing initiatives, support continuous process improvement, and enable organizational change management.

Established in 1982, AIAG is a not-for-profit association where professionals from a diverse group of stakeholders – including retailers, suppliers of all sizes, automakers, manufacturers, service providers, academia, and government – work collaboratively to streamline industry processes via global standards development & harmonized business practices.
