Renowned designer Sue Wong celebrated her birthday with over 200 esteemed guests at her breathtaking home, ARTHAUS Malibu, an architectural gem nestled against the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The event, highlighted by the "GLAM Boho Chic" and "Rocker Chic" dress code, perfectly complemented the stunning ocean view and the exquisite landscaping of Sue's home.
The event buzzed with the soulful tunes of an All-Star Celebrity Band, featuring the iconic sounds of the 1960s British Invasion and Psychedelic Rock/Blues. It was impeccably coordinated by Musical Director to the Stars and Musical Producer Robin DiMaggio, and featured an eclectic blend of live performances that perfectly captured the spirit and fun of the celebration.
Music is always a great component to Sue Wong’s exciting parties. And the combined talent of the coterie of gifted musicians rocked the audience! The stellar musical lineup included Steve Cooke, Scarlet Rivera, Jawn Star, Rick Whitfield, Vinny Fazzari, Sean McNabb, Frankie Anne, M’Chell, Zeus, and the legendary Willie Mack Chambers of the Chambers Brothers. In addition, Alex AL Bassist for Michael Jackson made a guest appearance.
A highlight was when musician Jawn Star performed a song he wrote for Sue Wong called: "It’s a Sue Wong World". After which, all the guests joined in to sing "Happy Birthday" to Sue Wong, as a beautifully crafted, custom pink flower-adorned birthday cake was presented, adding an elegant touch to the celebration.
Sue Wong captivated guests with an inspiring speech about creative artists who, through their art and creations are the bearers of beauty who propel civilization forward. The atmosphere was elevated by luxurious drinks crafted by 101 Vodka and Casa México (owned by Mario Lopez and Oscar De La Hoya), along with Red, White, and Rosé wines and delightful wine spritzers from Sunstone Winery. Hermoz Parsa, President of 1.0.1 Vodka, alongside Teddy Cabugos, CEO of Sunstone Winery, as well as CFO Bridgette Young and CEO Aaron Madariaga both from XO SoHo Clothing, contributed to the vibrant celebration.
Adding to the visual feast, models adorned in Sue Wong’s classic creations from her hand-painted silk collection, mingled amongst the guests, their stunning outfits enchanting everyone with their elegance and intricate detail.
