Aiming to Empower Black Entrepreneurs, The Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo Partners with Black Business Enterprises to Award Grants
We're kicking off Black Business Month in Minneapolis, MN with exciting grant giveaways to deserving vendors at the 2023 expo

Minneapolis - August 1, 2023 - Today marks the beginning of Black Business Month, a month dedicated to celebrating and empowering Black entrepreneurs and businesses. As part of this momentous occasion, the Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo is proud to announce its partnership with Black Business Enterprises, a leading organization committed to supporting and uplifting Black-owned businesses.

On Sunday August 13, 2023, during the Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo, held at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Minneapolis, we are honored to present an opportunity that goes beyond just celebrating beauty and culture. As a testament to our commitment to economic empowerment, we will be awarding GRANTS to 2–3 registered vendors.

The Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo has always been a platform for amplifying Black voices, fostering social enterprise, and empowering financial wealth within our community. By joining forces with Black Business Enterprises, we are taking this commitment to new heights, acknowledging, and supporting the outstanding contributions made by Black entrepreneurs in our region.

“We’re so much stronger when we come together. Both of our organizations believe in the power of entrepreneurship and the positive impact it can have on our communities,” says Tephanie Delaney, one of the visionaries behind the expo. “Entrepreneurship has the power to transform lives. Briana Cress and I are so excited to partner with Black Business Enterprises to give back to our vendors and provide additional resources for future growth.”

The grant giveaway is the perfect addition to the Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo’s dedication to cultivating entrepreneurship. With the support of Black Business Enterprises, the expo aims to shine a spotlight on local talent, innovative ideas, and businesses that are making a difference.

“Black Business Enterprises is extremely excited to be partnering with the long-standing, Twin Cities Hair & Beauty Expo.” says Nancy Korsah, Founder Black Business Enterprises. “In the monumental moment, we seek to elevate, inspire and support Black owned businesses to thrive.”

In the spirit of Black Business Month, the expo invites everyone to come together to celebrate beauty, culture, and entrepreneurship. The expo will feature panel discussions, live demonstrations, a fashion show, and special celebrity appearances by Stevie Baggs Jr., Dutchess of Ink, Rob Malloy, Destiny Payton, Terayle Hill, Rhonda Marie Alston, January Curry and more. Minneapolis Mayor, Jacob Frey, will also be attending. Whether you are a vendor, a guest, or an industry enthusiast, join us as we remain committed to driving meaningful change and creating opportunities for prosperity within the Black community.
