Golden Bond Rescue for Retriever Dogs Announces Golden Vintage Fundraiser

Portland, OR - Golden Bond Rescue President, Jill Groves, announced that the organization is holding its 13th Golden Vintage Wine Dinner and Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 5-10 p.m. Funds will go toward rescuing golden retrievers, golden labs, and finding suitable adoptive homes to provide the dogs with a second chance in life.

“Golden Bond Rescue of Oregon, Inc. grew out of one woman’s passion for the plight of abandoned and homeless dogs in 1990,” said Groves. “Having learned about canine rescues from the Golden Retriever Club of America, Jennifer Bondley searched in vain for an organization she could help in Oregon. To her dismay, the nearest golden retriever rescue was in Seattle.”

The Wine Dinner and Auction Fundraiser will be held at the Windy Hills Winery in Ridgefield, WA. The cost of the Golden Vintage fine food and wine experience is $130 per person. A table for 10 can be reserved for $1,300. Ticket confirmations will be delivered via email.

Golden Bond Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Canines at the Rescue are those that have been rescued or willingly surrendered. Since the group’s launch, it’s placed over 3,500 dogs in their furever home with loving families. Golden Bond Rescue relies on volunteers, fosterers, donations, and bequests to provide care for the canines.

Individuals that make a contribution have the satisfaction of knowing that 100 percent of their donation goes directly toward the care of retrievers and contributions are tax deductible. The Rescue also partners with location businesses and has a Vehicle Donation Program to raise funds.

The golden retriever rescue has retrievers and retriever mix canines of all ages and some are international travelers. The majority of the Rescue’s canines are from the U.S., with others arriving from South Korea. Dogs available for adoption encompass mini golden retrievers, English golden retrievers, and Corgi-golden retriever mixes.

Golden Bond Rescue also provides Labrador retriever rescue services for Labrador retrievers and Lab mixes. The Rescue currently has residents from the U.S., South Korea, China, and Mexico. Adoptees run the color gamut from yellow, black and chocolate to silver and English Labs.
