The category spotlights founders who have left the corporate world and are now pursuing a “second-act” as entrepreneurs. This is the third year The Philadelphia Inquirer has hosted the contest which strives to spotlight some of the region’s most remarkable entrepreneurs.
Founded by Rich Mullen in Landenberg, PA, and John Eklund of Lewes, DE, Pathogend of Delaware was forged when Mr. Mullen, after crossing paths with the CEO of the parent company, Frances Grinstead, determined this new proprietary technology, originally targeted and used in the healthcare industry, could benefit thousands in other markets to prevent and solve the most difficult infection issues threatening people today.
