Ugottaeat Launches Indiegogo Campaign For Its Mobile App

Homemade meals social networking site, UGottaEat, kicks off a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo for the launch of its mobile app

UGottaEat is a unique social networking site that allows users to share freshly-cooked meals from local home cooks and chefs. As part of the mission of UGottaEat to support healthy living and increase the awareness about the importance of healthy eating, the platform is planning to launch its mobile app for users of smart mobile devices running on the iOS and Android operating systems. Consequently, UGE, as it is also called, has commenced an Indiegogo Campaign to raise funds for the UGottaEat app.

Healthy eating is one of the major factors of living a healthy lifestyle. However, many people have found it difficult to embrace the healthy eating lifestyle particularly due to their busy schedules and the inability to make good food at home. The inaccessibility to affordable homemade meals has also made it difficult for people to eat healthily. UGE has however created a platform that allows anyone and everyone to have access to healthy foods on-the-go.

The subsequent launch of the app will allow local chefs to sell food, while also giving people the platform to share food within their network. UGE is combining technological advancements with smart mobile devices and the emergence of social networking sites to create a personal chef in everyone’s pocket. Ultimately helping to change family dinners and overall eating through the emerging sharing economy.

The app allows users to place an order for healthy meals in three simple steps – select meals, message the chef and dine-in or pick up. Some chefs will even offer delivery. Users can also leave reviews, likes, and shares, helping other users make decisions.

UGottaEat focuses on fresh or homemade meals so that everyone can eat mindfully and healthily without necessarily breaking the bank. “Our social mission is to support healthier living, eliminate waste and end food insecurity,” says Tonya Kinlow, UGE Founder.

The fundraiser on Indiegogo aims to raise $15,000, with backers being able to support the cause with as low as $1. The funds raised will be used for 2 specific purposes – to launch and scale the current app to market, and to create a new sharing economy category with version 2.0.

UGE’s membership menu includes wellness seekers, mindful eaters, home cooks, restaurants, and caterers, as well as culinary institutions.

The iOS and Android versions of the app are currently available on iTunes and Google PlayStore for Beta testing. More information about UGottaEat can be found on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
