Bray & Long, PLLC, is pleased to announce the addition of two new associate attorneys, Robert Lack and Simon O’Brien. Both attorneys will practice out of the firm’s Charlotte-based location. Mr. Lack focuses his practice on tax consultation and planning, estate planning, trusts and estates and corporate law. Mr. O’Brien handles transactional matters involving commercial real estate, contracts, corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions.
“We are very glad to welcome both Robert and Simon to the firm,” said William Bray, Founding Member and head of the firm’s business law group. “The addition of these talented attorneys adds depth and breadth to our existing team and will allow us to ensure the delivery of a full-service legal approach to our clients.”
Mr. Lack brings nine years of experience practicing at both large and small firms located in the Carolinas. In addition to his extensive history handling complex tax and estate planning matters, Mr. Lack is experienced in helping medical providers as well as other professionals operating within the medical industry with HIPAA compliance. Mr. Lack received a J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 2008 and a B.S. in Finance from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 2005. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from both institutions. Mr. Lack is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
“I am excited to join Bray & Long and have been particularly impressed with the robust capability offered by the firm. The firm’s full-service ability and collaborative approach greatly benefits clients. I am looking forward to being part of the team,” stated Lack.
Mr. O’Brien joined Bray & Long in November of 2016 after acquiring experience practicing law in the Charlotte area for four years. He has represented a variety of commercial clients including regional banks, individual investors, and small- to mid-sized businesses and their owners. Mr. O’Brien received his J.D. from Elon University School of Law in 2012 and graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2009. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
“I am confident that Robert and Simon will be great assets and valued members of our existing team of skilled attorneys,” said Bray. “We are looking forward to offering our clients their expertise and continuing with the tradition of providing high levels of service to the individuals and businesses that place their trust in our firm.”
